We know that going to any new place or trying something new can be overwhelming. We certainly don’t want you to feel that way when you come to our church. Here are few things that might help you feel a little more at ease when you come to worship with us.

The first thing you need to know, we aren’t perfect and we don’t expect anyone else to be. Everyone makes mistakes. The pastor makes mistakes, our kids make mistakes, each and everyone one of us makes mistakes. It’s a part of being human. So if you think you can’t come to church because you’re not good enough, the truth is none of us are good enough. That’s what is so great about God’s grace. God knows we make mistakes. God knows that we fall short and he loves us anyway. The Bible says, “For God so the loved the world, he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him would have eternal life. God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world” (John 3:16-17). The Bible also tells us, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Our hope and prayer is that when you come to our church, you will come to know the love of God through Christ Jesus.

Because of the ongoing pandemic, everyone is expected to wear a mask and maintain social distancing. All of services are also available online through our Facebook page.

Now, the other stuff:

  • When you come to our church you can expect to be welcomed. We want you to know that you are loved.
  • When you come to our church, we aren’t concerned with what you’re wearing. Some will be in dresses, some might wear a tie, some will wear a polo and khaki’s and some will wear a T-shirt and jeans. As long as you’re dressed, you’re good.
  • We do a blend of modern worship and hymns. The order of worship is emailed out for services where we meet in person. Lyrics for songs will be presented during Livestream only services.
  • There will be an offering at every service. We don’t expect you to give, especially if it is one of your first times visiting. The tithes and offerings help to cover the expenses and ministries of the church.
  • Occasionally there may be a second offering taken for a special circumstance. Information regarding that second offering will be announced.
  • At the end of every service we serve communion. This is also known as Eucharist or The Lord’s Supper. Prepackaged communion cups are available before service. Please take what you need for you and your family.  Communion is an opportunity to remember and give thanks for what Christ did for us by dying on the cross. Those who believe in Jesus are invited to participate. If you’re not at that point, there is no pressure to participate.
  • At some point you may be asked if you are interested in learning more about the church or about becoming a member. There is no pressure to say yes. You can say no, you aren’t going to hurt our feelings. And if you change your mind later, just let us know.
  • We are open to questions. If there is something you don’t understand, feel free to ask. If the person you ask doesn’t know the answer, they will find someone who does.
